NOTE Doctoral Hooding Convocation Requirements
Following are your responsibilities if you wish take part in the doctoral hooding:
  • At least 2 month prior to graduation contact the School of Education Graduate office and confirm that you have met or will meet all requirements for graduating including: course completion, residency, research requirements, comprehensive exams, proposal approval and dissertation approval.
  • You must post your dissertation by the due date* which is generally about one month prior to commencement.
  • At least one month prior to commencement, sign up with the Graduate School to be hooded by you advisor or an alternate faculty member if your advisor is not available.

  • To obtain tickets for your family to attend the doctoral hooding, you must arrage with the School of Education Graduate office by the due date* which is generally about one month prior to commencement.

    • * The Ph.D. candidates are responsibile for checking with the University Graduate School and the School of Education Graduate Office to find the exact due dates.
